Dr. Salvatore Artale – I graduated in Medicine and Surgery (University of Catania in Sicily -Italy) and I specialized in Oncology (University of Milan – Italy). During my specialization I worked for the National Institute of Tumors in Milano and  for Niguarda Cancer Center of  Milan. Here I was in charge of the Oncological Care for Outpatients Unit and Deputy Director of the Oncological  Unit.

I have also been in charge of the Tumors of  Gastrointestinal Tract Unit in Armando Businco Hospital (Cagliari , Sardegna – Italy).

I have collaborated with University of  Bicocca – Milan as a Contract Oncology Professor and I currently cover the same role for University of  Insubria.

From 2012 to the end of 2022 I was Director of the Oncology Operational Unit of the Sant’Antonio Abate hospital in Gallarate of the ASST Valle Olona (Varese).

Since January 2023 I have been Director of the C.S. of Medical Oncology of the Hospitals of Vimercate, Desio, Carate Brianza, ASST Brianza.

My areas of interest are: The study and care of gastrointestinal tract tumors with particular attention to colon rectum tumors and neuroendocrine tumors. I also give support therapy to patients undergoing oncological medical therapy (chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, anti-angiogenics, immunotheraphy etc.) and personalized nutrition programs to help with side effects during therapy.
